Growing 55 Percent, Angkasa Pura I Serves 5.3 Million Passengers Throughout April 2023

JAKARTA - PT Angkasa Pura I continues to record that it has served 5.3 million passengers throughout April 2023.

This figure experienced a growth of 55 percent compared to the same period last year.

As for aircraft movements, Angkasa Pura I recorded serving 44,988 movements, or growing by 11 percent compared to the number of aircraft movements in the same period last year which reached 40,572 movements.

President Director of Angkasa Pura I Faik Fahmi said he was grateful that Angkasa Pura I continued to maintain double-digit growth or above the average growth of the aviation industry.

"This is a positive trend because the company continues to provide good performance throughout 2023," he said in an official statement, Tuesday, May 16.

Faik explained that 5.3 million passengers in April 2023 consisted of 4.2 million passengers on domestic routes and 1.1 million passengers on international routes.

Especially for international route passengers, the number continues to increase every month in accordance with the growth of international passengers throughout Indonesia.

This is in accordance with data submitted by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in January-February 2023, Indonesia is a country that has the highest international passenger recovery rate in the Asia Pacific region.

Faik said the growth in Indonesia's recovery rate over Thailand, one of the countries that has the largest number of international passengers in the Asia Pacific.

"This is a good sign that Angkasa Pura I as a domestic and international air gate must always maintain double-digit growth by continuing to maintain and improve service excellence for all airport service users," concluded Faik.
