BRI Danareksa Sekuritas Completes IDR 100 Trillion Transactions In 2022

JAKARTA - A subsidiary of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BRI), namely BRI Danareksa Sekuritas (BRIDS) together with the associated entity PT Danareksa (Persero), has successfully completed various company strategic projects in Indonesia as Lead Financial Advisory with a total transaction value of more than IDR 100 trillion in 2022.

BRIDS Investment Banking Advisory Director Hendra Hermawan in an official statement in Jakarta, Friday, April 28, revealed that BRIDS was able to complete 23 advisory transactions consisting of five general advisory transactions and 18 advisory transactional transactions throughout 2022.

"So far BRIDS has always been trusted to be the main financial adviser on government and BUMN strategic projects. By joining BRIDS in the BRI Group ecosystem, we hope to be able to expand our client portfolio to private clients in the future," said Hendra, quoted from Antara.

He explained that the biggest strategic project handled by BRIDS was a strategic partnership between PT Angkasa Pura II (AP II) and global airport operators for Kualanamu International Airport, Medan, North Sumatra.

In this project, BRIDS succeeded in supporting AP II in building a profitable transaction structure and closing a 25-year agreement, with a cooperation value of around US$6 billion or the equivalent of IDR 90 trillion, including investment from strategic partners of at least IDR 15 trillion.

In addition, BRIDS played an important role in the acquisition of 6,000 Indosat Ooreedoo Hutchison (IOH) towers by a subsidiary of PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (Telkom), namely PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi Tbk (Mitratel) with a total transaction value of IDR 10.3 trillion, which was recorded as one of the transactions The biggest Sale & Leaseback in Southeast Asia.

On the same occasion, the Main Director of BRIDS Laksono Widodo said that the company's financial advisory business line made a significant contribution to revenue in 2022.

"The company's financial advisory business line contributes quite a lot with a portion of 21 percent of the company's total revenue in 2022. We hope that this year the financial advisory business can continue to make a positive contribution to the company's finances," said Laksono.

Furthermore, BRIDS handled several other major transactions, including the divestment transaction for the Trans Java toll road PT Waskita Toll Road to the Indonesia Investment Authority (INA) with a transaction value of IDR 5.8 trillion.

In addition, the buyback of PT Jasamarga Semarang Batan shares from PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (SMI) & the SAM Toll Road Limited Investment Mutual Fund, as well as its divestment to Kings Bless Limited, a subsidiary of King Expressway, with a total transaction value of IDR 3.8 trillion.
