At The Forbes Global CEO Forum, Erick Thohir Shows Off The Success Of Transformation In BUMN

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir showcased the successful transformation carried out in plate companies at The 20th Forbes Global CEO Conference in Singapore.

At the event which was attended by more than 400 company executives from all over the world, Erick also explained investment opportunities and the importance of regional and international cooperation.

"We have the market, the resources, we have good leadership from the President. We open the widest possible opportunities for (investors) to come to Indonesia, (to) cooperate and invest with us," said Erick Thohir, in an official statement. , Tuesday, September 27.

On the sidelines of the event, Erick met with Lawrence Wong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Singapore who was the keynote speaker on Monday 26 September.

Then today, Erick Thohir also met with Tan See Long, the Minister of Manpower, who also serves as the Second Minister for Trade and Industry.

In both meetings, Erick discussed increasing BUMN cooperation with Singaporean companies.

Erick said that the effort to attract investment is a form of the government's commitment to increasing job creation in Indonesia.

In addition, on the sidelines of today's conference, Erick met with Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, an Indian multinational company that is currently investing US$70 billion in renewable energy and facilitating the energy transition in India.

Therefore, Erick hopes, the Adani Group can also make the same investment in Indonesia with SOEs.
