Jeje 'SCBD' Ready To Receive Scholarship, Sandiaga Uno: Thank You For Having Foresight

JAKARTA - Jasmine Laticia or known as Jeje 'SCBD' admitted that she was ready to receive an educational scholarship from the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparkekraf) Sandiga Uno. Jeje's decision immediately received appreciation from Sandiaga Uno.

Through his personal Instagram account @sandiuno, Sandiaga said that quality education can change the future of a nation.

Therefore, he was grateful that Jeje accepted the scholarship offer.

"I firmly believe that quality education can change the future of a nation! Thank you Jeje who has foresight in education," he wrote, quoted on Saturday, July 23.

Jeje herself is one of the teenagers who went viral because of 'Citayam Fashion Week'. Jeje along with other teenagers from outside the Jakarta area often hang out in the Dukuh Atas area, Sudirman.

This phenomenon gave rise to a new term 'SCBD', namely Sudirman, Citayam, Bojonggede, Depok.

The former Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta admitted that he did not want the teenagers who often hung out at SCBD to only experience temporary euphoria with these contents.

He wants these teenagers to create content that can inspire other younger generations.

"Scholarships are so that they can continue to create quality content. We don't want this to be just a temporary euphoria, it must be sustainable. Inspire and open new business opportunities and employment opportunities for millennial and Gen-Z youth," he said.

Sandiaga also sent a message to Roy, Jeje's colleague, who refused a scholarship from him. This is because Roy wants to focus on creating content.

Roy also admitted that he was afraid that he would not be able to run it well and that he would make others disappointed.

Furthermore, Sandiaga said that he grew up because of a scholarship. He admitted that when he was studying there was a feeling of fear of disappointment, but he managed to fight that feeling.

"The message to Roy, friends of 'Haradukuh' and young people all over the country, never be afraid to disappoint others when you are struggling, but give your best with hard work, smart work, thorough work, and sincere work, leave the result to Allah SWT," he said.
