JAKARTA - PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) reports that digital transactions using the Bank Indonesia Fast Payment or BI Fast facility have doubled to 35 million transactions or approximately IDR 106 trillion.

Bank Mandiri SVP Transaction Banking Retail Sales Thomas Wahyudi said the score was in line with the company's efforts to continue to accelerate digitalization to meet customer transaction needs while encouraging financial inclusion in the country.

"BI Fast services on the Livin by Mandiri digital application have now become one of the customer's favorite options, as reflected in daily transactions that continue to grow," he said in an official statement on Thursday, May 19.

According to Thomas, this book helped boost the overall growth of digital banking transactions which were able to reach 600 million transactions in April 2022.

"This number grew by more than 70 percent when compared to the same period last year," he said.

Thomas added that the majority of financial transactions carried out by customers were transfers followed by purchases and payments.

"For this reason, we will continue to strive to meet customer needs through the provision of features on Livin by Mandiri," he said.

For information, the official Livin by Mandiri application has been downloaded 12 million times on various platforms. That number has tripled since its launch in October 2021.

"In the near future, our official application will be able to meet the urban lifestyle needs of the community, all in one application," concluded Thomas.
