Winning Over Kamaru Usman Doesn't Make Khamzat Chimaev Deserves To Win UFC Champion Title

JAKARTA - Khamzat Chimaev just beat Kamaru Usman at UFC 294 on Sunday, October 22. Khamzat is now trying to find opponents for the UFC belt fight.

But he was deemed inappropriate for that.

While competing against Kamaru Usman at the Etihad Arena, Khamzat won 29-27, 29-27 and 28-28. This victory is the 13th consecutive time for Chimaev in MMA or the seventh time at the UFC.

Beating Usman is also Chimaev's record as an unbeaten fighter in MMA's professional career. For achievements at the UFC, his record is also quite slick.

Khamzat is currently ranked fourth in the UFC welterweight standings. Generally, when you are in that position a fighter is enough to be offered in the race for the championship belt.

But the UFC middleweight champion, Sean Total, said Khamzat Chimaev did not deserve an offer to win the UFC title.

"I will fight that person for five rounds. But no, he didn't get it (the championship title). He didn't deserve it. And making decisions without involving welterweight boxers won't produce anything," saidLA, quoted from MMA Mania, Tuesday, October 24.
