Complaining About Headaches After Losing TKO To Hopey Price,ntay Coghill Turns Out To Suffer From Brain Bleeding

JAKARTA - The English featherweight boxer,ctional Coghill, suffered an unfortunate fate and had to undergo serious treatment at the hospital due to a brain hemorrhage. The previously unbeaten fighter suffered a serious injury after fighting his compatriot, Hopey Price. The second match took place on October 7 at Sheffield.

Both of them appeared as undercards in the main contest between WBA featherweight world champion Leigh Wood versus Josh Warrington.

Coghill lost to TKO to Price and became the first defeat in his career. The 28-year-old boxer fell in the last round aka the 12th round.

Previously, Coghill had fallen on the canvas 4 times. First during the sixth round, once in rounds 11 and twice in round 12. After being declared defeated by TKO, Coghill was still conscious even though his condition was quite alarming during the fight.

The coach, Stefy Bull, reported that his boxer was still being investigated at the hospital. In the X-ray results, bleeding was found in Coghill's brain after the boxer complained of headaches after the defeat.

"Coghill di rumah sakit dalam pengawasan setelah scan menemukan adanya bleeding di sistemanya. Terus ini berita buruk bagi karena tinju telah menjadi hidupnya sejak usia muda," tutur Bull, seperti dikutip dari BBC pada Rabu, 18 OKtober.

Bull said the boxer's condition was quite stable and was resting. Even though he was in a worrying situation due to a brain hemorrhage, all parties around him continued to pray for the boxer.

"He is stable and resting and wants people to respect his time during this difficult period. Everyone at Stefy Bull Promotions prays for a complete recovery and prays for his good health. We will continue to inform you all," explained the coach.

Coghill debuted professional boxing for the first time on April 13, 2018. Since then, a total of 15 fights have been played with 14-1 (1 KO) results. Meanwhile, the opponent, Price, nicknamed Drago, posted a record 12-0 (5 KOs).
