Jordi Is Very Disappointed That He Can't Strengthen The Indonesian National Team Vs Brunei Darussalam

JAKARTA - Jordi Amat expressed his disappointment at not being able to strengthen the national team in the 2026 World Cup Qualification event. The match, which will be held on October 12 and 17, will face Brunei Darussalam.

Jordi's disappointment was revealed through social media which was uploaded on Friday, October 6. The player who occupies the defender position was forced to miss due to injury, even though he admitted that he could not wait to defend the national team.

"It's a shame, I can't play against Brunei due to injury, but I will support Indonesia from home with a passionate heart! I will be back soon," wrote Jordi Amat.

Jordi Amat made his first debut with the national team when he appeared in the 2022 AFF Cup. Since then he has always been Shin Tae Yong's mainstay in the back lines and has always been an Indonesian starter if he is in the squad.

The last 31-year-old defender played a starter when the Indonesian national team defeated Turkmenistan in the FIFA Matchday match at Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium, Surabaya, last September 8.

Because this time Jordi Amat was injured, as a substitute for Shin Tae-yong as the coach, he has chosen Fachruddin Aryanto. Apart from Fachruddin, STY also summoned two new players, Dzaky Asraf (PSM Makassar) and Hokky Caraka (PSS Sleman).
