Liga 1 2023/2024 Results: Persebaya Surabaya Permak Arema FC At The East Java Derby

SURABAYA - Persebaya Surabaya won the East Java derby match against Arema FC in the 13th week of Liga 1 2023/2024, Saturday, September 23. Appearing at Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium, Bajul Ijo beat his guest with a score of 3-1.

The hosts were 1-0 up in the 27th minute. Bruno Moreira managed to take advantage of Arema's players' mistakes in passing the ball. He grabbed the ball and then fired a curling shot that Arema goalkeeper Julian Schwarzer couldn't stop.

Persebaya was only able to increase the advantage in the extra minutes of the first half. Adalan Dejan Stevanovic who scored Arema FC's goal conceded for the second time.

Ze Valente made Persebaya even more unstoppable. He scored Bajul ijo's third goal in the 50th minute.

Arema FC had a chance to reduce the gap in the 65th minute. However, Dedik Setiawan's goal was unable to save the visitors from defeat.

With this result, Persebaya rose to fifth place in the standings with 21 points. Meanwhile, Arema FC is stuck in 16th position with 10 points.

In another match, Persikabo 1973 actually fell 2-3 from his opponent Persik Kediri when he appeared at Pakansari Stadium in Bogor. A late goal from Anderson in the 90+5 minute sent the visitors home with three points.

Two other Persik goals were scored by Muhammad Khanafi (42nd and 77th minutes). Meanwhile, Yusuf Meilana (suicide) and Didik Wahyu scored the goal.
