Indonesian Masters 2023 Will Be Held Once Again in Jakarta for the 11th Time, Winning Prizes of IDR 23 Billion

JAKARTA - The international golf tournament, Indonesian Masters, is being held again in Jakarta. In 2023, Royale Jakarta Golf, Halim is still trusted to be the venue for the agenda which will be held for the 11th time in Indonesia.

This event, which will take place from 16-19 November, will win prizes of 1.5 million US dollars or IDR 23 billion. Indonesian Master 2023, which is the 11th series in this season, also feels special because it is labeled an international series.

"It doesn't feel like it's been a year since we held the Indonesian Masters from the 10th edition last year in 2022. But every year we are always excited because this is the biggest event in Indonesia, especially since last year it became an international series of the Asian Tour," said Jimmy Masrin as Founder Indonesian Masters at a press conference in Kuningan, Wednesday, September 13.

Regarding the Royale Golf Club, Halim, which has been chosen again as the venue for the Indonesian Masters 2023, Hendro Sutandi as Managing Director of the Royale Jakarta Golf Club feels proud to be trusted to hold this event for the 11th time.

"In Indonesia, this international golf match is the Indonesian Masters. We, as hosts of the Indonesian Masters, Royale Golf Club, are very proud to be appointed, chosen by the Indonesian Masters as hosts. This is the 11th time at Royale Golf. So we are proud," he said.

In the 10th series of this season there will be 144 golfers from all over the world who will compete for the winning trophy. As host, Indonesia gets 12 slots which will still have to go through a selection process.

The Indonesian Masters tournament was held for the first time in 2011 and was won for three consecutive years by British golfer Lee Westwood. Meanwhile, Jazz Janewattananond from Thailand won the Asian Tour Order of Merit title when this competition was last held in 2019.

In 2022, the Thai golfer will still secure the championship title. However, this time the championship trophy was won by Sarit Suwannarut, who had led since the second round.
