Beat Malaysia 4-1, Vietnam Waits For Opponents In The AFF U-23 Cup

JAKARTA Vietnam reached the 2023 AFF U-23 Cup final after defeating Malaysia with a landslide score of 4-1 at Rayong Provincial Stadium, Thailand, Thursday, August 24.

The Golden Star took the lead through Dinh Xuan Tien's goal when the game had only been running for eight minutes. Nguyen Quoc Viet then scored in the 32nd minute to double the lead.

Dinh increased Vietnam's advantage a minute before halftime. Four after the two teams from the dressing room, Malaysia managed to reduce the position to 1-3.

The goal for the Malayan Tiger was netted by Muhammad Alif Akmalrizal Anuar. He maximized the bait from Muhammad Aliff Izwan Yuslan.

However, five minutes before normal time the match broke up, Vietnam again added goals through Hong Phuc Nguyen after continuing Bui Vi Hao's pass.

Vietnam, which is the defending champion, will next face the winner from Indonesia against Thailand in the final match later.

At the time of writing, the Indonesia vs Thailand duel had not yet been held. Kick off the semifinals of the duel will take place tonight at 20.00 WIB.

The final match will take place on Saturday, August 26 at Rayong Province Stadium.
