JAKARTA - Asiana Soccer School has officially collaborated with Japanese football club Cerezo Osaka FC. This collaboration aims to build young talents in the Indonesian football world.
Asiana Soccer School President Director, Galih Dimuntur Kartasasmita, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Cerezo Osaka FC at the Fairmont Hotel on Tuesday, July 4, 2023.
"I will make his academy the best academy. We promise to continue to contribute to Indonesian athletes, especially football and we want to do it from now on with the help of Osaka Cerezo," said Galih.
Asiana Soccer School is a young football development platform with full scholarships based in Jakarta. This place carries a vision of building, developing, and providing comprehensive and professional training to young players.
Since its inauguration on September 1, 2018, Asiana Soccer School has found, coached, and developed the careers of talented young Indonesian football players.
In addition, Asiana Soccer School has also conducted various partnership negotiations with football clubs in Europe, America, and Asia as well as other professional coaches in the industry. This is to pave the way for the future of young Indonesian players to be able to excel in the world arena.

PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir, who was present at the signing of the MoU, appreciated this collaboration. He hopes that the development of young footballers can have a positive impact on Indonesian football.
"With the cooperation between Asiana and Cerezo, this is the construction of grassroots. So, young people are built. Moreover, there is cooperation between players to be sent, there is continued delivery of coaches. So, the construction of football must come from below (fundamental)," he said.
Meanwhile, Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Dito Ariotedjo said that cooperation with Japanese clubs is a step forward. The reason is, Japanese football is currently the best in Asia that has competed globally.
"Japan is one of the countries in Asia that has always managed to qualify for the World Cup. The characters of Japan and Indonesia are in terms of physical and cultural similar. So, I think Cerezo chose Asiana. Hopefully, this can push our football into the world arena," he said.
In this MoU, the Asiana Soccer School and Cerezo Osaka FC will work hand in hand to develop the football industry ecosystem in Indonesia by forming talented young players to be able to contribute to the international league.
Later the players from the Asiana Soccer School will be involved in a training session with the Cerezo Osaka Academy team and have the opportunity to try out their skills in playing at the Cerezo Osaka Club.
Not only that, the management staff and coach of the Asiana Soccer School club can also see and participate in several Cerezo Osaka training sessions and vice versa.
