A Nice Week For Italian Representatives In Europe

JAKARTA - Italian clubs achieved positive results in the round of 16 playoff matches of the Europa League and Conference League. They compactly advanced to the next round after getting rid of their rivals.

In the Europa League competition, Juventus and AS Roma managed to qualify for the next round after kicking out representatives from France and Austria.

Juventus convincingly won 3-0 over Nantes at the Stade de la Beaujoire, Friday, February 24 in the morning WIB. Angel Di Maria Becomes a star by scoring a hat trick.

With this result, Juventus won 4-1 on aggregate. In the first leg which took place at the Juventus headquarters, the two teams drew 1-1.

In other matches, AS Roma also sealed a ticket to the last 16 of the Europa League after winning 2-0 over FC Salzburg at the Stadio Olimpico. The two goals scored by Andrea Belotti and Paulo Dybala made the Italian Capital Wolves turn things around.

AS Roma qualifies with an aggregate advantage of 2-1. Previously in the first leg which took place at the Salzburg headquarters, Jose Mourinho's troops lost 0-1.

Meanwhile, in the Conference League competition, good results were also obtained by two representatives from Serie A, Lazio and Fiorentina.

Lazio's 0-0 draw when they visited CFR Cluj headquarters was enough to lead them to the last 16. They won 1-0 on aggregate.

Meanwhile, Fiorentina managed to get rid of the representative of Portugal, SC Braga, after winning 3-2 in the second leg which took place at the Artemio Franchi. On aggregate, La Viola won 7-2.

Previously, two Italian representatives also achieved positive results in the Champions League. AC Milan won 1-0 over Chelsea in the first leg of the last 16, while Inter Milan also beat Porto by the same score.
