Separating League 1 And League 2 Match Operators Is Not Only Technical Matter, But Also A Business

JAKARTA - Separating League 1 operators from League 2 is one of the missions carried out by LaNyalla Mahmud Mattalitti, one of the PSSI General Chair (Ketum) candidates for the 2023/2027 period.

LaNyalla admitted that he had prepared various plans, including the matter of holding competitions. He conveyed this in the agenda of an open forum with the PSSI Provincial Association (Asprov) at the Sultan Hotel, Jakarta, Tuesday, February 7.

"I conveyed the idea of ​​separating League 1 and League 2 operators as part of improving the quality of competition and strengthening the capacity of League 2 clubs from a technical and business aspect," La Nyalla said while giving a speech in front of around 25 Asprov representatives.

Until now, League 1 and League 2 competitions are still run under the same operator, namely. PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB). Previously there was also a discourse to separate the organizers of the competition, but PT LIB still failed to make it happen.

The plan to separate League 1 and 2 organizing operators is considered by LaNyalla as part of the seven steps to developing national football that he initiated.

This includes the technical development, club strengthening, professional leagues, national teams, business development, financial stability, and the football industry.

Meanwhile, for the implementation of League 3, LaNyalla revealed the promise that he would run the lowest caste of the Indonesian football competition with the concept of 10.30.

"This means that the League 3 competition must be held within 10 months, and each club must compete competitively 30 times in one competitive season," he said.
