JAKARTA - The PSSI General Chairperson (Ketum) candidate for the 2023-2027 period, LaNyalla Mahmud Mattalitti, conveyed his vision and mission before representatives of the Provincial Association (Asprov) in a meeting at the Sultan Hotel, Tuesday, February 7 evening WIB.

LaNyalla said that this meeting with Asprov could be a means of building football starting from the basics, namely at the regional level.

"I believe building Indonesian football cannot only be done in Jakarta. It cannot be top-down from central PSSI. Quite the contrary," said LaNyalla in his remarks.

"Building Indonesian football must be from the land of its birth. It must be from the region and it must be bottom up because building football must indeed be from the lowest level," he continued.

LaNyalla then described the big vision that had been prepared as seven important steps. LaNyalla emphasized that this vision would be implemented if he was elected as PSSI leader for the 2023-2027 period.

The seven steps are technical development, club empowerment, professional league, national team, business development, financial stability, and the football industry.

"Today I want to convey a big vision to build Indonesian football using measurable and implementable tools," said LaNyalla.

"From the perspective of the Central PSSI program, I have conveyed seven steps to build Indonesian football," he added.

On this occasion, the Chairperson of the Regional Representative Council (DPD) also promised a subsidy fund of IDR 1 billion per year for each Asprov. The funds are to run the programs that he has conveyed.

LaNyalla emphasized that the assistance would be given unconditionally in his first year if he served as PSSI Ketum 2023-2027.

"It depends on the program they are implementing. If we can do it all, we will automatically supply it. However, if you don't implement it, it will definitely not work," he said.

Apart from Asprov, subsidized funds will also be given to League 1 and League 2 clubs. Later, these funds will be provided through competition operators.
