JAKARTA - Former Secretary General of PSSI Nugraha Besoes died at the age of 81 on Monday, February 6, early morning WIB. The deceased died at the National Brain Center Hospital (PON).
Reportedly, Nugraha Besoes died as a result of a stroke he had suffered. He had undergone treatment for nine days at RSPON.
The body is currently being buried at a funeral home in the Joglo area, Kembangan, West Jakarta.
It is planned that the deceased will be buried at the Menteng Pulo public cemetery on Monday afternoon WIB.
The man who is familiarly called Kang Nug is known as the "Eternal Secretary General" of PSSI. He was the longest-serving secretary general with a tenure of 28 years.
Nugraha started his career as general secretary of PSSI in 1983 and ended in 2011. During his career at PSSI, he assisted three different general chairmen of PSSI, namely Kardono (1983-1991), Azwar Anas (1991-1999), and Nurdin Halid (2003-2011).
