A 3-3 draw, Juventus must be willing to share points with Atalanta

JAKARTA - Juventus must be willing to share points with Atalanta after the two teams drew 3-3, in the Italian League match which was played at the Juventus Stadium, Turin, Monday, January 23, Western Indonesian Time (WIB).

Quoted from the Italian League's official website, the result brought Juventus to ninth place with 23 points, while Atalanta was in fifth place with 35 points.

This match was the first match played by Juventus, after they received a penalty of 15 points deduction for violating Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations by the Italian Football Federation.

Atalanta opened the scoring in the fifth minute, through Ademola Lookman's movement on the edge of the penalty box, which was then followed by an accurate shot that goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny could not anticipate.

The Bianconerri equalized in the 25th minute, when Angel Di Maria converted the penalty awarded for Ederson's foul on Nicolo Fagioli. Arkadiusz Milik completed the hosts' comeback with a volley from inside the penalty box to welcome Fagioli's cross in the 34th minute.

It took Atalanta eight minutes of the second half to regain the lead. First they leveled through Joakim Maehle in the 46th minute, before Lookman then headed the ball past Szczesny for his second goal in the 53rd minute.

Juventus could still breathe a sigh of relief, after Danilo scored with a low free kick in the 65th minute to equalize which lasted until the final whistle.
