Mazda MX-5 High Performance Version Will Come Early In The Year, More Sporty Than The Standards

JAKARTA - Mazda has showcased a special version of the MX-5 inspired by racing cars at the Tokyo Auto Salon event earlier this year. It is stated that the car will become the forerunner of the high-performance roadster owned by this Japanese brand.

The presence of the car will be realized at the beginning of next year, January 10, to be precise, known as the MX-5 Mazda Spirit Racing Special Model. It is reported that the appearance will be identical to the concept version launched at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2024 exhibition.

Launching from Carscoops, Monday, December 23, it is stated that this car will receive changes to the front with a new splitter and special badge on the grip. In addition, the roadster also features a set of stickers showing the identity of the sub-division of Mazda Spirit Racing.

Other changes include the latest set of six-stop black spots that cover an aggressive set of red brake timespers. Then, the side skirt is also redesigned, the rearview mirror, and the presence of lip spoilers.

However, other technical information regarding the model is still very limited. However, it is almost certain that this high performance version of MX-5 accepts changes to better suspensions and brakes for racing needs.

With the presence of the MX-5 version of Mazda Spirit Racing, it made the high performance car market even more colorful after Toyota launched Gazoo Racing (GR) a few years ago, Hyundai with the Hyundai N division, and Nissan with the Nismo division.

Mazda Spirit Racing, based in Hiroshima, Japan, is devoted to presenting a high-performance car and is considered a replacement for the previous name, Mazdasped, who has been inactive for a long time.
