JAKARTA - Williams Racing makes Jamie Chadwick happy. The beautiful British racer got a new contract from the Formula 1 team.

This contract extension takes care of Jamie Chadwick's dream of competing in the prestigious Formula 1 race.

Chadwick is a three-time W Series champion for women's drivers. With the new contract, she will continue her duties as a Driver Academy driver for Williams.

This is a task she has been working on since 2019. Chadwick will be in charge of the simulator program to help develop herself as a racer and support the team's preparation for racing.

"Continuing my relationship with Williams is amazing," Chadwick was quoted as saying on Williams' official website, as quoted by Antara.

"To have the opportunity to involve myself in this team and keep the dream of Formula 1 alive is important. I'm looking forward to what we can do together."

Throughout the 2023 season, Chadwick will work at the team's facilities in Grove, England. In addition, she will compete in the INDY NXT championship in the United States with the Andretti Autosport team.

"She (Chadwick) is a very talented driver and a role model who is important in inspiring the next generation of women in the sport of racing," said Williams Racing sporting director Sven Smeets.

Formula 1 hasn't had a female driver since 1976 and Chadwick hopes to break that record one day.
