"The doctors passed by and I was just waiting nervously. It was worth all the effort I put in during the recovery period. Three sessions a day. I am determined to take part in the World Cup", said Richarlison.
When appearing in the first matchday of Group G against Serbia, Richarlison scored two goals which also brought Brazil to a 2-0 win over their opponent. His second goal was special because it was created by the 29-year-old's overhead kick.
Regarding the process of creating this extraordinary goal, Richarlison admitted that he had practiced scoring goals in this way while training with the Samba Team.
"I scored a similar goal in training when we were in Italy and today I had the chance to volley and it worked", he concluded.
