The Series Of Records Created In Qatar's 2022 World Cup Opening Party

JAKARTA - The Qatar 2022 World Cup officially opens on Sunday, November 20. The match between hosts Qatar and Ecuador will be the first.

In this match, Qatar must recognize the superiority of Ecuador. Felix Sanchez's troops surrendered with a score of 0-2.

Qatar has also recorded a record which unfortunately is not a positive thing. The team nicknamed The Maroons became the first World Cup host to lose in the opening game.

Enner Valencia scored two goals for Ecuador. The first goal in the match was scored by the Ecuador captain through the white point in the 16th minute.

This makes this edition of the World Cup the first in which the first goal was scored from the spot, as reported by Opta, Monday, November 21.

Valencia himself scored two goals in this match. That made him score five goals in a row at the World Cup.

He only needed one more goal in the next match to equal the records of Eusebio (Portugal 1966), Paolo Rossi (Italy 1982), and Oleg Salenko (Russia 1994).

Meanwhile, based on statistics, Qatar vs Ecuador match only created 11 shots, five for Qatar and six for Ecuador. This was the fewest shots fired since 1966.

Ironically, Qatar did not record a single shot against Ecuador in this match. Pity.
