Indonesian Naturalized Player Marques Bolden Fails To Join NBA Club Milwaukee Bucks

JAKARTA - Marques Bolden's hopes have been dashed to appear in the NBA. The Milwaukee Bucks released the naturalized Indonesian basketball team player.

As reported by the club's official website, the Bucks have submitted a release from Bolden's contract.

Bolden previously joined the Bucks on September 25 on an Exhibit 10 contract. This contract usually lasts one year and runs ahead of the new NBA season.

Exhibit 10 contracts are awarded to a number of players who are invited to attend team training camps and a series of pre-season matches without guarantees to continue when the regular season rolls around, as reported by Antara.

Bolden took part in four Bucks pre-season games. He is averaging 6.3 points and 2.0 rebounds and 11.7 minutes per game.

In fact, he had a brilliant 33 minutes with 21 points, five rebounds, and two blocks in the pre-season match against the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday (12/10) last week.

However, that doesn't seem to have impressed the Bucks enough.

Bolden's failure to delay the opportunity for the appearance of Indonesian passport players in the NBA. Bolden previously appeared in the NBA with the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons.

However, at that time, the basketball player who graduated from Duke University had not officially become an Indonesian citizen.

In addition to Bolden, the Bucks also announced the release of guard Lindell Wigginton, who last season appeared in 19 games on a two-legged contract.

The move means the Bucks now have 17 players on their roster or will need to release two more players to finalize the roster ahead of the new 2022-23 NBA season.
