Max Verstappen Doesn't Care about the mockery he received after winning the Italian GP F1 race behind the Safety Car

JAKARTA - Red Bull Racing, Max Verstappen, won the Italian GP F1 race, Sunday, September 11, 2022. However, this victory was accompanied by discordant notes.

Understandably, Verstappen won the race behind the safety car that entered the track due to Daniel Ricciardo's (McLaren) car breaking down in the middle of the track.

Until the race ended, Ricciardo's car was not successfully evacuated, and made the safety car "lead the race" to the finish line.

Verstappen arguably benefits from the presence of a safety car. He was finally able to win a fierce battle with the champion of Ferrari, Charles Leclerc.

This is his first victory at home to Ferrari. But after celebrating his 11th win of the season, Verstappen had to face ridicule from the stands during his post-race interview.

"It happens, everyone talks to me about it with boos and other things, but at the end of the day I'm here to try and win the races we've done", said Verstappen.

Some people of course can't appreciate that because they are big fans of Ferrari. He didn't mind it.

"It's not going to ruin my day, I'm just enjoying the moment", he said.

Leclerc did not support the actions of fans who mocked Verstappen. According to him, this need not happen.

However, Leclerc did not want to talk too much about this issue.

"No one likes to boo and I don't think that should happen. That's all", said the Ferrari driver.
