Contraflow Implemented From KM 21+850 Jagorawi Toll Road Towards Jakarta Today

JAKARTA - Traffic engineering in the opposite direction or contraflow is enforced from KM 21 + 850 of the Jagorawi Toll Road towards Jakarta over police discretion to prevent an increase in traffic volume.

"To anticipate the increase in the volume of traffic that occurred on the Jagorawi Toll Road towards Jakarta, over the discretion of the Police, Jasa Marga supports the implementation of 'contraflow' starting from Km 21+850 to KM 11+700 of the Jagorawi Toll Road towards Jakarta since 14.28 WIB," said Senior Manager Representative Office 1 Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad Regional Division Alvin Anditaujat Singarimbun in Jakarta, Sunday, December 22, confiscated by Antara.

For information, Jasa Marga recorded as many as 686,609 vehicles leaving the Jabotabek area on D-7 to D-4 Christmas Day 2024 which falls in the period 18-21 December 2024.

This figure is the cumulative number of traffic flows (traffic) from the four Main Toll Gates (GT), namely GT Cikupa (to Merak), GT Ciawi (to Puncak), GT Cikampek Utama (towards Trans Java) and GT Kalihurip Utama (towards Bandung).

The total volume of traffic leaving the Jabotabek area increased by 14.6 percent when compared to normal traffic (598,904 vehicles) in the same period. When compared to the 2023 Christmas period, the total volume of this traffic increased by 5.8 percent (648,813 vehicles).
