JAKARTA - Gareth Bale has returned to enjoying football since his move from Real Madrid.

The Wales international slowly became a figure Los Blancos didn't need in his final seasons at the Santiago Bernabeu. But, that all changed since he moved to LAFC in Major League Soccer (MLS).

Since making his debut against Nashville on July 17, things have 'clicked' for Bale. He came off the bench in the 72nd minute, but showed some moments of real quality during his 20 minutes on the pitch.

He also came off the bench in the following game, scoring in a 2-0 LAFC win and showing he still has impressive physical skills.

Bale's long-awaited home debut comes on 30 July. Even though he came on in the 63rd minute, LAFC recorded a 2-1 win.

He then scored again as Los Angeles thrashed Real Salt Lake 4-1, again coming off the bench. But, Bale showed that he was not finished.

It looks like the Welshman has found happiness in MLS. The change in atmosphere had helped him feel valued once again.

In his first days with LAFC, he shouted into the megaphone, prompting fans to celebrate the win. Something rarely seen in Spain.

During Real Madrid's recent tour of the US, Bale visited his former team-mates. He chatted and laughed with them, seemingly happy to be away from the competitiveness of European football.

Loves to speak Spanish

During his nine years at Real Madrid, Bale was rarely heard speaking Spanish. Reports suggest he failed to really understand the language, which was one of the reasons he never really settled with Los Blancos.

However, team-mate Ilie Sanchez said that Bale went to great lengths to speak Spanish with him and the other South American players on the team.

This is further proof that Bale has changed.
