Manchester United Wants To "Throw Off" Harry Maguire, But The Player Turns Down The Opportunity To Join Barcelona

JAKARTA - Manchester United reportedly already has plans to release Harry Maguire. The English defender was made a victim of "swapping" with Barcelona.

Maguire was made part of Manchester United's bid proposal to sign Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong. Unfortunately, the proposal was canceled.

Not because Barcelona refused, but Harry Maguire who didn't want to leave. He turned down the chance to play for Barcelona so he could stay and fight his way through his difficult time at Manchester United.

Reports in several British media, including The Sun, said the England international was "unmoved and eager to have a successful season with United".

It's no secret, that the Red Devils' captain was heavily criticized for his performances last season. He was booed by his own fans, both at the club and international level.

The ridicule continued. While defending the Red Devils in a pre-season friendly against Crystal Palace, he was again cheered by his club fans.

In addition to wanting to fight to win back the hearts of the supporters, Maguire decided to stay because of the figure of Erik ten Hag. Manchester United's new manager turned out to provide support to the former Leicester City defender.
