Received A Job With A Salary Of IDR 17.8 Billion Per Year At DC United, Wayne Rooney Was Forced To Separate From His Wife Coleen

JAKARTA - Former Manchester United player, Wayne Rooney, accepted a job as coach of DC United in Major League Soccer (MLS). However, he will not be accompanied by his wife, Coleen Rooney.

Wayne Rooney has landed at Washington Dulles Airport on Monday, July 11, yesterday. The 36-year-old is believed to have accepted the £1 million-a-year job to add important managerial experience to his resume.

However, this decision made Coleen disappointed. The 36-year-old woman was unsure of the steps her husband had taken.

Reportedly, Rooney's decision caused additional tension in their marriage. Especially after Coleen decided not to move to the US again.

It was revealed that there was a strong reason behind Coleen's refusal. The television presenter once said that she often cried herself to sleep during Wayne's career at DC United from 2018 to 2020.

Their four sons are also not feeling well. Kai, Klay, Kit, and Cass are said to have experienced life's first hardships in America.

A source told The Sun, "Wayne has discussed the job with Coleen, but she has firmly said she will not be leaving."

"She (Coleen) didn't want to get in his way. They had an understanding that they were a team but emotionally she didn't invest. Would often commute, but they have now agreed to disagree."

"The kids are staying in school and don't want to go back to America, so they plan to live in Cheshire with their mother," the source continued.

The source added that Wayne Rooney will find it difficult to return to England often. The reason is that managerial work is much more time-consuming than being a player.
