JAKARTA - Another satisfying result was made in the Indonesian men's singles at the Malaysia Open 2022. Anthony Sinisuka Ginting successfully followed Jonatan Christie to appear in the quarter-finals.

Ginting defeated Thailand's representative, Sitthikom Thamsin, in the round of 16. He won straight games with a score of 21-18 and 21-18.

At the beginning of the early game points Ginting had fallen behind, but thanks to consistent efforts he was able to get past the first interval and equalized the score at 11-11. After that, points by point managed to belong to Ginting until the position was 18-15.

Although the opponent tried to catch up, Ginting managed to get game points at 20-18 and closed the early game with a 21-18 victory.

In the second game, Ginting was left behind in the second game interval with a score of 7-11. But armed with the composure as in the first game, Ginting managed to turn things around and lead 21-18 in the second game.

Ginting's success following Jojo was also followed by Indonesian men's doubles, Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto. They successfully won a ticket to the quarter-finals after overthrowing representatives of Germany, Mark Lamsfuss / Marvin Seidel.

Fajar/Rian's struggle to win is arguably not easy, because they have to go through a rubber game that lasts for 60 minutes. The struggle paid off because Fajar/Rian finally won 21-23, 14-21 and 21-14.

In the men's doubles number, Hendra Setiawan/Mohammad Ahsan and Bagus Maulana/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri also still have a chance at the quarter-finals.
