2022 AFC Cup Schedule: First Steps For Bali United And PSM Makassar

JAKARTA — Bali United and PSM Makassar are ready to start their work in the 2022 AFC Cup. They are scheduled to face opponents starting Friday, June 24 tomorrow.

Bali United are in Group G with Kaya-Iloilo (Philippines), Kedah Darul Aman (Malaysia), and Visakha (Cambodia). Serdadu Tridatu's I Wayan Dipta Stadium is the venue for all matches in this group.

Coach Stefano ”Teco” Cugurra's team will play its first match against Kedah. Then followed the matches against Visakha and Kaya, on the 27th and 30th of this month, respectively.

The Kedah FC squad has arrived in Bali since last Monday. They came with the status as runners-up Malaysia Super League.

“Team Kedah is a traditional team from Malaysia, I have also worked there so I know there is a strong club and good players there. We have to respect Kedah and work hard to win the first game", Teco said, quoted on the club website.

Meanwhile, PSM Makassar occupies Group H in this championship along with Kuala Lumpur City (Malaysia) and Tampines Rovers (Singapore). The difference is that the match for this group will take place at the Kuala Lumpur Stadium.

PSM will face their inaugural match against Kuala Lumpur, Friday, 24 June. Three days after that they met Tampines.
