JAKARTA - The Indonesian National Team has landed in Kuwait on Saturday at 02.05 in the morning to take part in the 2023 Asian Cup qualification which will take place on 8-15 June.
The group consisting of 23 players and 20 officials was greeted enthusiastically by dozens of Indonesians who were members of several groups of Indonesian football supporters in Kuwait who were waiting at the airport and accommodation.
Indonesian Ambassador to Kuwait Lena Maryana, in her statement, welcomed all team members.
"The Indonesian Embassy team together with a group of Indonesian supporters in Kuwait are ready to support the struggle of the Indonesian national team in Kuwait," he said as quoted by Antara.
Lena emphasized the readiness of the Indonesian Embassy to support the national team's struggle toward the 2023 Asian Cup.
"We have requested an allocation of 500 tickets to the Kuwait Football Association so that the entire group of Indonesian supporters can directly support it," said Lena, who welcomed the national team at the accommodation.
Ambassador Lena then spoke with the Technical Director of PSSI Indra Sjafri to discuss several things about preparation and various things that the Indonesian national team needed to know, including weather challenges.
