JAKARTA - Mahindra Racing team driver, Oliver Rowland believes the Formula E circuit in Jakarta can add new experiences for drivers.

The Formula E race will be held in Jakarta for the first time on Saturday, June 4. As a new track in the racing calendar, the Formula E circuit in Ancol certainly presents a different challenge for drivers.

"Every time there's a new track, it's a good balance, especially for less experienced drivers", Rowland said on the official Formula E website on Thursday, June 2.

Rowland and his team currently have not done much in the land jet race. Of the eight series of races that have been followed, they have only collected ten points and are in 14th place in the drivers' standings.

In the previous race which took place in Berlin, Germany, the British rider was able to collect six points. At that time he finished in seventh place as well as his best result after Diriyah.

"For me, I like going to the places I know now because I could be better and more experienced, but I think mentally, it's like any other. You prepare and go there to do your best", he said.

The race circuit in Ancol with a track length of 2.4 km has many characteristics in the form of a long straight track followed by many sharp turns. In total 18 corners will be ready to test the riders.

This character is deliberately created to regenerate the electric power of a racing car. In addition, to provide an opportunity for drivers to overtake each other.
