Indonesian U-23 National Team Players Are Prohibited From Doing Homecoming For Eid, The Indonesian Football Association Chairman: We Will Prepare Hotels For Your Visiting Families

JAKARTA - The U-23 Indonesian National Team is undergoing preparations for the 2021 SEA Games in Hanoi. The plan, the players will do a training camp (TC) in South Korea for two weeks.

After Korea, the U-23 Indonesian National Team will go to Jakarta and finalize preparations there. To maintain conditions and to be monitored by the coaching team, the players are prohibited from doing homecoming for Eid.

This was conveyed by the General Chairperson of the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI), Mochamad Iriawan, while reviewing the U-23 Indonesian National Team practice at the Madya Stadium, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, April 12 yesterday. He welcomes if there are players' families who want to come to Jakarta during Eid later.

According to Iriawan, the players just need to report to the Secretary-General of the PSSI, Yunus Nusi, if their family wants to celebrate Eid in Jakarta. Later, they will be prepared a hotel to stay.

"I ask you for Eid here (Jakarta). We will prepare a hotel for your families who want to come, you just need to report," said the chairman of the PSSI, as quoted by Antara.

In addition, the former Secretary of Lemhanas asked the players to work hard and be disciplined during the training camp. Understandably, they got the target of bringing the 2021 SEA Games gold medal.

As is known, there have been 29 names called by the coach of the U-23 Indonesian National Team, Shin Tae-yong to attend the training camp. However, two players who took part abroad, namely Elkann Baggott and Saddil Ramdani were forced to miss out because they did not get permission from the club.

However, Iriawan admitted that he is still in contact with Ipswich Town and Sabah FC, the club that houses Elkan and Saddil.

"Just pray, hopefully, it will be realized later. If they can join, our team will be stronger," said Iriawan.
