Early Europa League Results: Bologna Vs Sampdoria 2-0, Valencia Draws

JAKARTA - The European competition will play a number of matches on Tuesday, April 12, early in the morning of Indonesian Western Time (WIB). Italy's Serie A and Spain's La Liga play one game each.

In Serie A, Marko Arnautovic scored twice as Bologna won 2-0 over Sampdoria. This win ended five games without a win for Bologna

Arnautovic's first Bologna goal was scored by Aaron Hickey's collaboration with Mitchell Dijks. The ball was then passed to Arnautovic, who reacted quickly before the defenders and then scored from close range.

This goal made Arnautovic only the third Austrian player to score 10 goals in a Serie A season after Engelbert Koenig for Lazio in 1946-1947 and Ernst Ocwirk for Sampdoria in 1956-1957.

Bologna got their second goal from Arnautovic. He started his maneuver by passing the ball to Dijks on the left.

Maya Yoshida tried to intercept the ball but the striker shifted the ball away from Omar Colley and scored from 10 yards. All of Bologna's last five goals have been the fruit of Arnautovic's hard work.

Reported by Antara from Football Italia, Bologna now overtakes Udinese in 12th position with 37 points, while Sampdoria remains 16th with 29 points.

While in the Spanish La Liga, Sergi Guardiola became the savior of Rayo Vallecano. His goal with seven minutes remaining meant that Valencia had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Rayo Vallecano at the Estadio de Vallecas in Madrid.

Sergi Guardiola scored a goal in the 83rd minute which made Valencia's lead since the 57th minute from Carlos Soler's goal, failing to produce three points.

This 1-1 draw became Rayo Vallecano's 12th match in which they could not win. This is the club's worst record since 2003.

Rayo last won when they beat bottom club Alaves in December last year. Rayo have also lost six of their last nine matches.

On the other hand Valencia extended the club's unbeaten run in league games to six games of which they have won three.

Rayo are now in 13th position or six points from the relegation zone, while Valencia are ninth with 42 points.
