JAKARTA - Persebaya Surabaya has finally announced its first signing in the Indonesian League 1 transfer market. The new player is a midfielder who used to be in uniform with the Indonesian national team, Andre Oktaviansyah.

Andre was brought from the Persikabo club. He is expected to strengthen the Persebaya midfield, which Rahmat Irianto and Ricky Kambuaya have left behind.

"Welcome Andre Oktaviansyah," wrote Persebaya Surabaya's official Instagram account.

Andrea is part of the U-16 national team that won the 2018 AFF Cup. He has also experienced training abroad with Garuda Select.

Last season, Andre made 25 appearances and scored two assists.

Meanwhile, Bajul Ijo also announced the transfer of two of their local players, Reva Adi and Ady Setiawan. It is not known where the two landed.

Persebaya Surabaya thanked them for their contribution last season and wished them the best.

"Surabaya will always be your home," said Persebaya Surabaya.
