The Indonesian U-19 National Team Held To A Draw With Gimcheon, Even Though They Had Won Twice Before

JAKARTA – The U-19 Indonesian national team drew against Gimcheon in their fifth test match in South Korea. Shin Tae-yong's squad played out a 2-2 draw in the match which took place on Tuesday, March 4 at noon, at the Auxiliary Mini Stadium.

Indonesia took the lead twice before being matched by the opposing team.

In this match, Indonesia successfully led the opposing team in the 37th minute. Subhan Fajri recorded his name on the scoreboard to bring Merah Putih 1-0 over the opposing team.

Two minutes before the normal time the match entered the first half Gimcheon successfully equalized. The 1-1 score lasted until the court referee blew the long whistle marking the end of the first half.

In the second half, Indonesia again took the lead over their opponents in the 57th minute. This time it was Muhammad Rafli Asrul's turn to break into the opponent's goal to bring Indonesia to a 2-1 lead.

However, the victory in front of the eyes must be lost in the last three minutes of the normal time of the match. Gimcheon scored their second goal to end the game with a score of 2-2.

Indonesia had previously undergone four trial matches. Of the four matches, they recorded three defeats and one win when they met Daegu University.

Meanwhile, Indonesia's U-19 national team lost three defeats respectively against Yeungnam University (1-5), South Korea U-19 (0-7), and South Korea U-19 (1-5).
