Wow! Benzema Speeds 270 Km/h With McLaren 765LT Spider At Madrid Circuit

JAKARTA - Karim Benzema drives a McLaren 765LT Spider at the Jarama Circuit in Madrid at a speed of 270 km/h under tight security and under the supervision of two motorcycle specialists, Dominique Chapatte and Safet Rastoder, hosts of the French television show 'Turbo'.

To celebrate the show's 35th anniversary, the two men traveled all the way to the Spanish capital and invited the Real Madrid star to drive the new McLaren 765LT Spider, a super luxury sports car with 765 CV power that goes from 0 to 100 in 2, 8 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 330 km/h.

This program was recorded a month ago and was broadcast last Sunday at 11:20 CET on the French TV channel M6.

Rastoder claims, while driving at high speed, Benzema shows the same focus when it comes to scoring goals for Real Madrid or the French national team.

"Frankly, he has what all high-level athletes have," he said.

"That ability to engage directly with the engine.

"Just look at his face when he decides to display the 765 hp from McLaren. A mischievous face that changes in a split second. A change in the look that makes us feel the same concentration as when he is about to score.

"Benzema on the 765 LT goes fast, really fast, at 270 km/h."

Meanwhile, Chapatte admitted to being surprised by Benzema's skills behind the wheel and explained why they decided to invite the footballer to celebrate the 35th birthday of 'Turbo'.

"Karim was born in 1987 which coincided with the year the M6 and Turbo were born," he said.

"He loves exclusive cars and is one of the stars of world football. There are many reasons to offer him to be our special guest on the anniversary program.

"Karim immediately said yes, which made me both happy and worried because my knowledge of football was nonexistent. But luckily, I found a champion with great accessibility, availability, and naturalness. Not to mention his good handling of the steering wheel."

During the filming, Benzema also showed off his luxury car collection which includes several Ferraris, at least two Bugatti, McLaren, Lamborghini, and various models from Audi, Mercedes, and Rolls-Royce.
