Experienced A Great Accident, Marquez Was Rushed To The Hospital

JAKARTA – Repsol Honda racer Marc Marquez had to be taken to the hospital. That was after he had a terrible accident on the Mandalika Circuit track.

The six-times world champion crashed due to a high-side at Turn 7 in the warm-up session with one minute remaining on Sunday, March 20 morning.

"After falling, @marcmarquez93 has been taken to Mataram Hospital for further examination", wrote the Repsol Honda Team on their official Twitter account.

In the footage, Marquez is seen being thrown in the air and pain, and limping after the incident. This incident caused the RC213V motorcycle ridden by Marquez to be destroyed.

However, he was still able to walk and headed to his break room. Moments later he was immediately in a medical car and taken to the hospital.

This is the fourth time Marquez has fallen at the Mandalika Circuit. Before experiencing the high side he also had a chance to fall at the tenth corner when the warm-up was left with 10 minutes remaining.

The Mandalika Circuit seems less friendly with Marquez. On Saturday, he fell twice, respectively, through the 12th and 13th corners during the qualifying session.

As a result of the incident, Marquez failed to continue the second qualifying. This made the 29-year-old racer also have to start today's race from 15th position followed by his teammate Pol Espargaro in 16th position.

For the first grid position in the Mandalika race, defending champion Fabio Quartararo was occupied. The French rider together with Jorge Martin and Johann Zarco who complete the top three will start from the front row.
