Qatar MotoGP Champion Enea Bastianini Can't Wait To Race At The Mandalika Circuit: Hopefully Many Supports For Gresini

JAKARTA - The 2022 MotoGP race will continue in Indonesia. The MotoGP riders expressed their impatience to immediately pave the way at the Mandalika Circuit.

One of them is the Qatar MotoGP race champion, Enea Bastianini. The rider from Gresini Racing admitted that he wanted to soon arrive in Indonesia and race at Mandalika.

"I can't wait to arrive in Indonesia. We come with an amazing race in Qatar where I found my first win," he told Rai Sport.

"It will not be easy for us to repeat it, but during the test (at the Mandalika Circuit) we had a good pace," he continued.

However, Bastianini could not expect much. The reason is, there have been several changes that have occurred at the Mandalika Circuit since the pre-season test some time ago.

"They cleared some parts of the track, so I'm not really sure what to expect. The tires will also be different from the test, but we have to keep working with what we've been doing at the moment," he said.

Bastianini then hopes to get full support from the audience, especially the Indonesian people. Although not an Indonesian team, Gresini Racing is supported by a number of sponsors from Indonesia.

"I really hope that many people and Gresini's supporters, we can't wait for it," he concluded.

The Mandalika MotoGP race is scheduled to take place on March 18-20. Reportedly, tickets on race day, which is on Sunday, March 20, have been sold out.
