Indonesian Women's Team Beat Kazakhstan 5-0 In 2022 Asian Team Badminton Championships

Women's doubles badminton pair Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amalia Cahaya Pratiwi in the match against Hong Kong in Group Z of the 2022 Asian Team Badminton Championships on Tuesday, 15 February.

JAKARTA – The Indonesian women's team won their second win in Group Z at the 2022 Asian Team Badminton Championships after beating Kazakhstan with a landslide score of 5-0.

Putri Kusuma Wardani gave the first point for Indonesia. She won two sets 21-18, 21-7 over Aisha Zhumabek at the Setia City Convention Center, Selangor, Malaysia, on Wednesday, February 16.

Then the next victory was contributed by Bilqis Prasista. She only played 18 minutes to beat Kamila Smagulova with a final score of 21-4, 21-6.

Saifi Rizka Nurhidayah who played in the third match also managed to add points for Indonesia. Following in the footsteps of his two previous colleagues, he also finished the match in only two sets 21-4, 21-8.

Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amalia Cahaya Pratiwi played shorter than three representatives a month. They only needed 17 minutes to win in two sets 21-3, 21-5 over Arina Sazonova/Aisha Zhumabek.

Indonesia's victory party was completed in the last match. Lanny Tria Mayasari/Jesita Putri Miantoro, who played in the fifth match, won 21-6, 21-5 over Nargiza Rakhmetullayeva/Kamila Smagulova.

In the first match last Tuesday, February 15, the women's team also managed to record a victory over Hong Kong with a score of 4-1.

Indonesia will have the toughest opponent in the final Group Z match on Thursday, February 17 tomorrow. Gregoria Mariska Tunjung and her friends will meet South Korea who also started their journey in this championship well.
