Sunoto And Tial Thang's Duel In ONE Championship Ends In "No Contest"

JAKARTA — The struggle of the Indonesian fighter Sunoto to win over Tial Thang ended with the decision of no contest (no match). The referee was forced to stop the match after Tial made an illegal knee strike to Sunoto's groin.

The duel of these two bouts will take place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Friday, 11 February evening. The illegal groin strike from the Myanmar fighter prevented the match from continuing.

"With the no contest results, everyone will be disappointed, but of course, there is a lesson," said Sunoto on his Instagram account, quoted by ANTARA.

The fighter nicknamed The Terminator also apologized to the Regent and Deputy Regent of Blora for not being able to provide the best for his place of birth.

Moreover, he has great motivation to win this match. Winning will provide a financial injection and can help him develop MMA in his homeland.

"I've tried and prayed, the final result is still God who decides. But thank God I'm still fine. Sorry, I can't make Blora proud anymore," he continued.

ONE Championship's bout called ONE: BAD BLOOD saw the highlight of Russia's Anatoly Malykhin against Kirill Grishenko. The two previously undefeated fighters dueled for the ONE Interim Heavyweight World Championship.

Malykhin's incredible speed and power seemed to dominate as he trailed Grishenko across the Circle. A series of heavy left and right hand punches forced the Belarusian fighter to defend.

With Malykhin continuing to attack, it was only a matter of time before his attack ended the fight. Finally, the blow came late in the second round when Malykhin brought down Grishenko for a thrilling stoppage-time win.

In addition to the provisional belt, Malykhin also received a pair of USD 50.000 bonuses for his scintillating performances.
