Real Madrid's Treble Winner Chance Runs Aground After Losing To Bilbao, Ancelotti: We're Hurt

JAKARTA - The meeting with Athletic Bilbao in the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey 2021/2022 was a bitter moment for Real Madrid. Because, after the meeting, Madrid's chance to win the treble winner this season ran aground.

The situation made coach Carlo Ancelotti disappointed considering that Real Madrid had great opportunities and ambitions in embracing all the titles available this season.

The title treble winner is a term used for a team that has won three major tournaments in one season. The general order for the treble winner title is to win the domestic league, domestic cup, and Champions League.

However, the defeat in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals made Real Madrid's hopes of winning the treble winner fail. They now only have a chance to win the title in the Spanish League and Champions League.
