Bilbao Vs Madrid 1-0: Berebguer's Late Goal Knocks Los Blancos Out Of The Copa Del Rey

JAKARTA - Athletic Bilbao has qualified for the Copa del Rey semifinals after eliminating Real Madrid 1-0 at San Mames on Friday morning.

Alex Berenguer became the hero of Bilbao's victory after scoring a goal at the end of the match.

Bilbao threatened first in the 9th minute. Dani Garcia fired home from the edge of the box and into the top corner, but goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was able to save the net.

Madrid has difficulty creating opportunities and their efforts are always broken by the Bilbao defense.

The home team again threatened in the 22nd minute. Munian stabbed from the left and into the Madrid penalty box, he then opened fire. However, it still has not met the target.

Madrid did dominate possession, but Bilbao was even more threatening when they got the ball. The score 0-0 lasted until halftime.

After the break, Bilbao immediately threatened in the 49th minute. Raul Garcia's header, but the ball is still wide of the goal.

Los Blancos almost ripped Bilbao's goal in the 80th minute. Casemiro successfully faced the goalkeeper after playing a one-two with Marco Asensio.

Unfortunately, the Brazilian midfielder's kick could still be stopped by Julen Agirrezabala.

Bilbao managed to score a goal in the 89th minute. Alex Berenguer scored from the edge of the box after his shot at the far post had been blocked by Courtois. The score became 1-0.

Madrid tried to equalize, but time was running out. Until the game was over, Bilbao was able to maintain the score 1-0.

Athletic Bilbao completes the four teams that have qualified for the semifinals of the King's Cup, with the other three being Rayo Vallecano, Valencia, and Real Betis.
