JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) estimates that most parts of Indonesia will experience rain on Tuesday, with varying intensity, ranging from light rain to rain accompanied by lightning.
In a weather forecast video broadcast on the official BMKG YouTube channel on Tuesday morning, BMKG forecaster Eriska said that there are 20 areas that are expected to experience light rain.
"These areas include Tanjung Pinang in the Riau Islands; Pekanbaru, Riau; Pangkal Pinang, Bangka Belitung Islands; Lampung; and Jakarta," he said.
In addition, cities such as Semarang in Central Java; Surabaya, East Java; Yogyakarta; Bandung, West Java; Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB); and Samarinda, East Kalimantan, are also expected to experience light rain.
A similar forecast applies to Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan; Gorontalo; Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi; Makassar, South Sulawesi; Ternate, North Maluku; Manokwari and Sorong in West Papua; Jayapura, Papua; and Jayawijaya in Papua Mountains.
