JAKARTA - Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri said there were 11 people who were caught in a hand arrest operation (OTT) which was held in East Kalimantan Province (Kaltim). Among them are officials from the National Road Implementation Center (BBPJN) of East Kalimantan Province.
"So far, the KPK has arrested 11 people, including state officials from the East Kalimantan National Road Implementation Center (BBPJN) and several private parties," Ali said in a written statement, Friday, November 24.
Ali said that BBPJN East Kalimantan is the Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) of the Directorate General of Highways of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) responsible for organizing national roads. It is suspected that bribery practices related to the procurement of goods and services during the silent operation took place.
"Arrest this hand on suspicion of bribery for bribing the implementation of the procurement of goods and services sourced from the APBN and/or APBD in the East Kalimantan Province in 2023-2024," he explained.
The KPK carried out this OTT on Thursday, November 23 after receiving a public report in May 2023. Then they moved when money was handed over.
