Ganjar Pranowo Promises To Build Papuan Human Resources

JAKARTA - The presidential candidate, Ganjar Pranowo, promised to build human resources (HR) in Papua. This was revealed when responding to complaints from residents about the lagging behind human resources on the easternmost island of Indonesia.

Ganjar revealed this during a meeting with the community at the Nurul Anwar Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes), Sentani, Jayapura, Papua, Wednesday, November 22.

Ganjar took this opportunity to discuss many things and ask for input regarding the nation's problems.

Ganjar also received input from one of the participants who attended the gathering with the community. Especially regarding the development of human resources (HR) in Papua that are still lagging behind, causing a negative impact.

This is as conveyed from the Madura Java Harmony Association in Papua, Sri Susilowati. He told Ganjar about the small children around Jalan Pos 7 Sentani, Jayapura, who had fallen using drugs.

"I live in an area called post 7. We are very concerned about post 7 close to school, and the children are still young but have smoked and drugs," said Sri.

Sri said that she had repeatedly tried to report it to related parties, but there has been no significant action so far.

Therefore, he hopes that if he later gets the mandate to become president, Ganjar can provide a focus on development for human resources in Papua, so that children there can avoid negative actions.

"If he was elected as President, he would ask for justice for Papua," said Sri.

Getting this input, Ganjar said that he was indeed focused on developing human resources that were evenly distributed on the land of Cendrawasih.

However, in addition, it is necessary to have parenting education or come from the family, so that children do not fall into using drugs.

"Parinting education is important, how do parents teach their children a lot and supervise them," said Ganjar.
