The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Council Came To The Criminal Investigation Unit Of The National Police, Discussed The SYL Case?

JAKARTA - Member of the Supervisory Board (Dewas) of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Albertina Ho, visited the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police.

Albertina was seen leaving the Police Criminal Investigation Building at around 15.35 WIB. He was accompanied by several of his aides.

Not a word has been made from him. Albertina chose to get into the car and leave the Police Headquarters (Mabes) area.

His presence is quite interesting. This is because the Directorate of Corruption Crimes at the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police and the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police is known to be investigating cases of alleged extortion and or receiving gratuities by the KPK leadership against the former Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo or SYL.

Deputy Director of Corruption Crimes at Bareskrim Polri, Kombes Arief Adiharsa, who confirmed this matter, said that the presence of members of the KPK Council was limited to ordinary coordination.

However, it is not related to the handling of cases of alleged extortion and or acceptance of gratuities against SYL.

"The usual coordination activity between the KPK Council and the Dit Tipidkor Bareskrim," said Arief when confirmed, Tuesday, November 21.

When asked about the coordination, there was also a discussion about the SYL case, Arief again denied it. This is because the meeting only talked about the duties of the KPK Council

"Regarding the implementation of the tasks of the KPK Council," he said.

In the case of alleged extortion and or acceptance of gratuities by the KPK leadership against Syahrul Yasin Limpo, investigators have examined nearly a hundred people. The details, 91 witnesses and 8 experts.

Special expert examinations include four criminal law experts, one procedural law expert, one expert or micro expression expert. Then, one digital forensic expert, and one multimedia expert.

Meanwhile, for witnesses who have been questioned, among others, Syahrul Yasin Limpo, former aide to Firli Bahuri, Kevin Egananta. Then there is the Semarang Police Chief Kombes Pol Irwan Anwar, Director of Dumas KPK Tomi Murtomo, as well as two former KPK leaders Saut Situmorang and M Jasin.

Then, the Director of Agricultural Equipment and Machinery of the Ministry of Agriculture Muhammad Hatta.

Most recently, Firli Bahuri was again questioned on Thursday, November 16. The examination is an addition from the previous one.

At this stage of investigation, it is believed that there was a criminal offense in Article 12 letter e, Article 12 letter B and or Article 11 of the Corruption Act Junto Article 65 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.
