Jokowi Said Joe Biden Had Not Responded To The Pressure On Ceasefire In Gaza

JAKARTA - President Jokowi revealed a number of things that were discussed in his meeting with United States President Joe Biden some time ago. At that time, Biden did not respond to the Israeli ceasefire proposal in Gaza.

According to President Jokowi, the meeting which took place at the White House, Washington DC and the APEC San Francisco Summit discussed the conflict in Gaza.

"I directly convey the importance of the atrocities in Gaza being stopped, the second is an immediate ceasefire, and the third is immediately stopped, and the fourth is humanitarian assistance must be made easier to get into Gaza," President Jokowi said in his statement, Monday, November 20.

However, President Jokowi said that President Biden did not respond to a number of pressures made by Indonesia.

However, President Jokowi considered that the pressure would be used as input by President Biden.

"I think from what we said I made sure it was recorded, it was a note," said the President.

The President also said that the Minister of Foreign Affairs (Menlu) Retno LP Marsudi together with several foreign ministers of the Organization for Islamic Cooperation (OKI) would visit a number of countries to discuss the Gaza conflict.

In addition, the Foreign Ministers will also convey the results of the meeting of the Extraordinary OKI Summit in Saudi Arabia.

"We are indeed one of the envoys from the OIC to convey the results we are talking about in Saudi Arabia," said President Jokowi.
