BOGOR - The General Election Commission (KPU) of Bogor Regency has re-verified data as many as 3,743 people on the permanent voter list (DPT) who were reported to have died.

"We cannot yet execute it to be crossed out, but what is clear is that we will verify the data first. We will check the data," said Head of the Bogor Regency KPU Herry Setiawan in Cibinong, Bogor, Tuesday, November 14, which was confiscated by Antara.

According to him, re-verification of data on residents who were reported to have died will continue until the voting day is due to the increasing number.

Herry explained that the supporting data stating that the person concerned had died must be complete administratively, such as a death certificate.

The Bogor Regency KPU is also still waiting for the direction of the Indonesian KPU to respond to several residents registered in the DPT, but died because the number of DPT that has been announced cannot be reduced or increased.

"If we make sure the DPT does not exist. Only for those who die, we have to recap the administration first," he said.

The Bogor Regency KPU has determined the DPT for the 2024 General Election as many as 3,889,441 people, consisting of 1,982,664 men and 1,906,777 women. This number increased when compared to the DPT for the 2019 General Election which was recorded at 3,494,743 people.

The voters will channel their voting rights to 15,228 polling stations (TPS) spread across 435 villages/kelurahan in 40 sub-districts.

Meanwhile, the Coordinator of the Prevention Division of Bawaslu Bogor Regency, Burhanuddin, announced that 3,743 residents in the DPT had died in the last three months.

"For the September 6th period, 615 voters died, for the October 6th period there were 1,387 people died, and in the November 6th period there were 1,345 voters who died. A total of 3,743 voters died," said Burhan.

The Bogor Regency Bawaslu also asked the KPU to inventory residents who died so that their voting rights were not seized by election participants.
