JAKARTA - Committee I DPD is committed to continuing to fight for the fate of honorary staff to be appointed as government employees with a work agreement (PPPK).

This was conveyed by the Chairman of Committee I DPD RI Fachrul Razi in a working meeting with the Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (Menpan-RB) Abdullah Azwar Anas who discussed prospective civil servants (CPNS), honorary staff, to PPPK at the DPD Building, Senayan Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Tuesday 14 November

"We continue to support and fight for the fate of honorary staff, this is the aspiration of the local community that we represent," he said in his statement.

Although it is regrettable that the DPD was not involved in the preparation of the revision of the new ASN Law, Fachrul said that Committee I DPD remained serious in finding solutions to fight for the fate of honorary workers in the regions.

He said Committee I DPD also asked the Ministry of PAN-RB (Kemenpan RB) to pay special attention and affirmation to health workers, educators ( teachers and lecturers), and Satpol PP to be prioritized to become PPPK, especially in leading, outermost and underdeveloped areas (3T), as well as special autonomy.

"Committee I supports the Ministry of PAN-RB in realizing competitive ASN human resources, creating professional and serving bureaucracy, towards Indonesia Gold 2045," he said.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chairman of Committee I DPD Filep Wamafma said the meeting with Menpan-RB was very important in order to fight for the fate of honorary staff.

He said the acceptance of national CPNS on September 16-30, 2023 consisted of 78,862 central government ASN formations and 493,634 local government ASN formations.

"We hope that the selection or recruitment of CPNS and PPPK is based on objective results and assessments in order to realize professional bureaucratic reform and ASN," said Filep when opening the meeting.

Menpan-RB said bureaucratic reform is currently running according to the president's direction.

He also appreciated the encouragement of DPD in the regions so that reforms would be measurable. "Therefore, the transformation of the ASN education system supports the acceleration of the thematic RB so that the bureaucracy becomes world-class," he said.

He explained that the direction of the 2024 ASN fulfillment policy will focus on the recruitment of basic services for teachers and health workers, solving non-ASN personnel problems, fulfilling technical personnel (CPNS and PPPK), and reducing job recruitment which will have an impact on digital transformation.

"According to the recommendations of the DPD and DPR, we will fulfill the former THK II and non-ASN by 80 percent and new applicants by 20 percent with the CAT selection," he said.
