JAKARTA - Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Firli Bahuri seems to have refused to be questioned at the Polda Metro Jaya. Because, not only asking for a postponement, Firli also asked for the examination process to be carried out at the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police. The request was conveyed by Firli Bahuri in an official letter sent to the Polda Metro Jaya investigators through the KPK Legal Bureau "A request was conveyed to the investigative team for an examination or additional request for information against FB as a witness, the chairman of the Indonesian KPK, that it could be carried out at the Bareskrim Polri building," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak to reporters, Tuesday, November 14. Firli Bahuri's impression was that he refused to undergo an examination at the Polda Metro Jaya because he had previously asked for the same thing. At that time, investigators granted his request. Thus, the KPK chairman underwent an examination at the Police Criminal Investigation Unit on October 24. The letter also stated the reason why Firli Bahuri could not undergo examination today. It was said that the head of the anti-corruption agency would provide information at the KPK Supervisory Board (Dewas). "Witness FB as Chair of the KPK RI, was unable to attend the investigator's summons for an additional request for information as a witness at the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of the Polda Metro Jaya today, because on the same day, at the same time, witness FB as chairman of the KPK RI fulfilled the invitation to clarify the second from the KPK of the Republic of Indonesia, which was held today at the KPK RI Red and White Building," he said. However, investigators have not yet been able to decide to grant or reject Firli's request. Consolidation is said to be carried out first. "The investigative team will consolidate and consider the letter in question. Regarding the request for a reschedule delay, related to the examination to be carried out, including a request for an examination at the Police Criminal Investigation Unit building," said Ade. As a reminder, the temporary development of the investigation into the alleged extortion case against Syahrul Yasin Limpo, Polda Metro Jaya has examined around 70 witnesses. Not only witnesses, in an effort to resolve this alleged extortion case, investigators also asked for information from five experts. The experts are, one micro expression expert, three criminal law experts, and one procedural law expert.

In this case, it is suspected that there was a criminal act of Article 12 letter e, Article 12 letter B and or Article 11 of the Corruption Act Junto Article 65 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.
